Description
"The Long Thanh
Golf Club is considered as being the
best golf course in Vietnam" from the
poll organized by Vietnam National
Administration of Tourism and The
Vietnam Golf Magazine. Highly
appreciated, the Long Thanh Golf Club
enjoys frequent visits from loyal
Members, Guests and Visitors for years.
The Club is situated 40 minutes far from
the center of Saigon on the Vung Tau
spur road. We currently offer a 36-holes
golf course and are pleased to welcome
amateurs and professional golf players.
Each course offers panoramic views over
the surrounding countryside to Saigon in
the west and rural landscape. Long Thanh
Golf Club and Residential Estate is a
Vietnamese, family owned business.
At present, there are 36 holes open for
play. Each hole has its own
characteristic shape and unique view
that offers a wide variety and separate
challenge to both novice and
professional.
Fairways are lined
with beautiful oil palm trees and other
similar species. The emphasis being on
evergreen is to keep the course in
pristine condition throughout the year.
Paspalum fairways and tees are
surrounding Tifdwarf greens. The rough
is cut to a short length so that ball
searching could be kept to a minimum.
Featuring rolling
fairways and large undulating greens,
with many bunkers and water hazards to
catch errant shots; the Long Thanh Golf
Club is the epitome of golf in Asia.
We are really excited regarding the
design by the internationally renowned
Golfplan Company. They are tougher 18
holes than the other two loops which
were built on a former rice paddy field.
It features water on virtually every
hole. Again we have the rolling
fairways, deep-faced bunkers and pure
variety, but the emphasis for the golfer
this time is on accuracy. It will
provide our players with a whole new set
of challenges, but with many tees it
will be eminently playable for even the
shorter hitters!
Playing the Course
The Hill Course: Each 9 holes
of the Championship Golf Course has
a par of 36 and offers superb and
varied challenges to experts and
novices alike. It features
rolling fairways and subtly
undulating greens, winding through a
palm plantation and artificial lakes
with some waterfalls and other
beautiful features.
Coupled with the cool atmosphere and
spectacular panorama, there can be
only few comparable places in all
Asia in which to play golf with such
an environment. Golf players have
the possibility to enjoy the
wonderful 18-hole Hill course or the
18-hole Lake course. If you are too
curious to wait, here is a
description of all holes to make
your mental preparation!
Hole #1
- Hill Course: par 4
A nice opening hole, bending to the
right with O.B. down the right hand
side of the fairway. Bunkers on both
sides catch errant drives, but par
should be made here.
- Red tee: 320 yards
- White tee: 349 yards
- Blub tee: 386 yards
- Gold tee: 416 yards
The Lake Course: The 18 hole
Lake Course is setup with
international standard lighting for
night golfing. All night, the course
looks like having a new fanciful
romatic wing.
The charming grace and
attractiveness of its Vietnamese
style seem to be prettier with the
high-lighted condition and the fresh
cool air. Golfers' shot seem to be
more accurate.
Hole #1 - Lake
Course: par 4
This is a downhill tee shot with out of
bounds all down the right side and
around the back of the green. A bunker
on the left and a small water hazard
crossing the fairway, are situated about
250 yards from the blue tee and should
be avoided.
- Red tee: 273 yards
- White tee: 321 yards
- Blub tee: 353 yards
- Gold tee: 386 yards

With well-equipped facilities, the
changing room of Long Thanh Golf Club
will provide you with anything you may
need for your utmost convenience and
comfort. It features 500 spacious
lockers, 56 bathrooms...to offer you the
absolute relaxation whenever you may
need a rest.
Restaurant: Enjoy integrading, relaxing
at our elegant restaurant and bar.
Experience a cozy asmosphere, a
wide-range chosing menu with a variety
of beverages and delicious Western and
Asian dishes.
Driving Range:
The Long Thanh Golf Club has a
spacious driving range where players can
loosen-up before playing or take a
lesson from one of our experienced
Vietnamese instructors. Everyone may
play from the same “fairway” grass that
may be found on the course.
